Who “we” and “you” mean
“We” means the small independent team building Epoch The Game. “You” means whoever is reading this page or using this site. By visiting the site or submitting the waitlist form, you accept these terms. If you don't, that's fine — no hard feelings, please close the tab.
What this site is
Today, this site is a waitlist and a preview of the ideas behind a game we are building. It is not the game. We make no promises about when the game will arrive, or that it will resemble any specific description on these pages. We may change the product or cancel it entirely. If we do cancel, we will tell the waitlist.
Your conduct
When you submit the form, please don't:
- Submit someone else's email address.
- Use the free-text field to transmit harassment, threats, or illegal content.
- Attempt to overload or probe the site for vulnerabilities. If you find a security issue, we would rather hear about it at scribe@epochthegame.com.
- Scrape, mirror, or republish the contents of the site at scale without permission. Quoting a paragraph for a review is fine; making a copy of the site is not.
Our writing and the framework
The prose, illustrations, and visual design on this site are ours (or licensed to us). You may quote them, for review or criticism, with attribution.
The Epoch Framework — the thirty dimensions and their descriptions — is published with the intent that it be useful outside this project. We reserve the right to assert authorship and to restrict commercial redistribution without a license, but citing it in an essay, syllabus, or research paper is encouraged. If in doubt, ask.
No warranty, the usual caveats
This site is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it up and correct, but we do not guarantee that any page will be available, that any content is error-free, or that any email we send will arrive. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
Changes
We will update these terms before launch and keep the “last updated” date current. If an update materially affects you — for example, rules about paid pre-orders — we will tell the waitlist by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our entity is registered, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence. We will update this section once the entity is formed.
